It has been a long time since I've updated. College is hard, takes up so much of your time, stresses you, and makes you panic (especially if you are a design student. Ten hours plus for some projects and still you could get a bad grade). So anyway, now it's summer for me. I have a great roommate for next year, even though we'll still be living in dorms instead of the apartment like places with their own kitchens(what I wanted). A bunch of my friends are also going to be living in the same building and it's right next to the building where I'll be spending probably most of my time next year. This summer I haven't gotten a job yet, though hopefully I will soon. I got either a cold or bad allergies, and it was my birthday (Devil Wears Prada book, Beauty and the Beast the musical CD (which I will probably be going to), Ipod clock radio/speakers aand a few other things). I really miss the cheap college prices of musicals. I saw Chicago and Phantom of the Opera for about 10 dollars each. I know Wicked is playing in Philly about now and I wish I could see it again.

Today, I had the best Valentine's Day in years. I woke up this morning to find out that I have no classes. Back to sleep and then got up to go and have lunch with my friend Michelle. Finally got to go sledding after waiting all winter, and it was so great. Then went back to hall for awhile. Had dinner with Michelle (The dining hall had actual chocolate fondue!!!) and then we tried to go out to a club to show me the band Cruxshadows along with Michelle's roommate Amaka, but no Taxis would come pick us up and the bus wasn't around so instead I went to their room for awhile.

Okay, this is political, but also very funny Harry Potter. I like it, but be open.

Okay. It's been about a month since I've posted. Too much stress going on. College work with my two three hour classes and my one hour class on the same day. I wish I had gotten the History teacher I wanted. I got so tired from my classes last Thursday that I lay half asleep and half awake for four hours. I miss being at home. I missed my Mom's Birthday. I'm also going to miss my sister's birthday, but at least that is by Easter so I'll be home near it (even though they only give us a really short break). I miss talking to some of my friends from first semester, even though I've made more friends. My one friend who was in a lot of my classes last semester is now in none this semester and she also got a boyfriend so she hangs out with him most of the time. I miss talking with her. However on the positive side, my other friend who had been commuting last semester got a room on campus this semester so I get to talk to her a lot. I'm pledging for the professional textile fraternity (mostly girls but started by guys so it's fraternity). That is going to require some work. Also my glasses which are a few years old broke. I've been looking for new ones. Hopefully I'll get another pair soon, but right now I'm taping them. Both of the parts which go over the ears broke. Anyway, I'm going to sleep now. Time to start another long week.

Merry Christmas Everybody!

So, for me it wasn't the best Christmas in the world. However, that is because I have an awful cold and all my ornaments along with some other stuff are missing. They are somewhere around the house in a box that hasn't been located yet. We have about 8 or 9 big boxes of stuff that we take down from our attic and put back up after Christmas and somehow my box of all my ornaments (I get an ornament every year and I have a bunch of them from when I was a baby and a few random ones that I just love) and the snowmen we put in our window that belong to me and my sister never got brought up to the attic.

So anyway, Christmas Eve I went to Woodstock for the annual Santa comes to Woodstock gathering (I finally found a site with pictures of Woodstock Christmases http://www.villagegreenbb.com/xmas.html). I got to see a bunch of people that I hadn't seen in awhile, so it was great. This year it was a giant candy cane where the top came off and it turned into a cannon. A dummy Santa shot out over a roofs and then Santa came out on top of a pizza store. Afterwards, I went walking around with my sister to a few stores, including my favorite one which is called Modern Mythology, and The Golden Notebook bookstore, which is the only local place that I can find Tintin books in. After buying my sister's ornament (I got mine at King of Prussia mall), my family went to visit a friend of my mom's, and then home to decorate the tree.

Christmas morning, my family got up late and had tea and cinnamon buns. Then we opened up our stockings and presants. I got pretty much everything that I really wanted. I got the Pirates 2 CD and DVD, Robin Hood Men in Tights DVD (I didn't even know it was on DVD!!!), Robin Hood the Disney version, V for Vendetta, Law and Order Criminal Intent Season 3, a bunch of cool pairs of earrings, and the Great Mouse Detective CD (that and Robin Hood are two of my favorite not known very well Disney movies).

Okay, back home now. Well, actually back home Thursday since one of my teachers changed the date of the final from the 20th to the 7th. Otherwise, I don't think I would have gotten to help my family pick out our Christmas tree. So I've been settling back into the rhythm of being home, and eating home cooked food. My sister made fudge for a class party and then fudge last night for presents for her friends. I spent all of today clearing up a corner of our living room and marking the DVDs that we have recorded but not labeled because the DVD marking pen was missing. I also have been doing the entire family's dishes (everyone else has stuff they need to do), so I can make a gingerbread house from scratch. I was watching Food Network and they had on a gingerbread house competition. I love cooking so I really want to try making one.

It's almost Christmastime in my mind. I've got my yearly ornament, this year a metal fish where you can move its body from Urban Outfitters, and I'm almost done with my Christmas stuff. I got your card today gabe_saunt. Thank you!!! I have your card ready to be mailed. I also have a card for you that's ready to be mailed miss_cam. There are also more people that I need to get cards for. I somehow underestimated the amount of cards that I thought I would need and I need some addresses as well from people.

I pretty much finished my Christmas shopping for my family yesterday. I still need to get some little tiny gifts for my friends down here in Philly and get the birthday gift for another friend here. I also need to get one more gift for my secret stalkee at Ariasink.com's Secret Stalker. Today however has just been work, work, work. I've got my design final on Wednesday along with two papers due, so I've been working on the papers and trying to retouch some of my design projects. Thursday is my Math final and the day I get to go home to New York. I can't wait to go and see my friends there, though I'll really miss talking with the people here.

Also, really cool news that I forgot to talk about. I saw Phantom of the Opera here in Philadelphia!!! I had to get in line for tickets for half an hour, but they were only ten dollars!!! It was so fantastic. Music of the Night almost had me crying because it was so fantastic. The Christine was okay, but Piangi and Erik were fantastic. The person who was playing Piangi held a really low note for about a minute or so, and Erik was just sublime. I got the program and a t-shirt and afterwards I went out with three of my friends to a Thai restaurant where they had this really yummy dessert of fried exotic ice creams (I got coconut and green tea) and some sort of sticky rice dish that tasted like tapioca. Then we walked around South Street and I stopped in the Whole Foods market for Raspberry spritzer and fruit leather. I miss having food that I really love and that isn't mostly the same so much. When I went home for Thanksgiving, I got to have homemade bread and a lot of organic food. At school, there may be one day when I can find four main courses that I want to have and another day where my only choice is to get a veggie burger and fries or bagel and a salad(They have these every day).

Low-handed dirty rotten trick

Warning. This entry contains politicalness (although politicalness that
should be spread around)

Even if I wasn't Democratic, I would be pissed about this trick the National Republican Congressional Committee is trying to pull. This should technically count as being illegal since they are calling people on the federal do not call list. "One volunteer mused that it was so much easier to persuade someone to hate you than the like you with a telemarketing call. But if you can devise a way to use phone calls to make voters angry at your opponent by deceiving them into thinking the opponent made the call - well, then it starts to be worth it."

Please spread around this story. I think that even if you are Republican you
should be annoyed that a group that says its with the Republicans is pulling off such and awful trick.
